Parent/Child
Ages 6 months- 3 years
Parent/Tot offers a golden opportunity to introduce your baby/ infant
to the water. Parents participate with their child in the water during
familiarization activities. The class consists of various water games,
songs, and movement in the water.
Aqua Tots
Ages 2-3 years
It is designed for children who might struggle with the
transition between Parent/Child and Preschool classes.
This
class will be taught in a Preschool class atmosphere
with the same skill objectives as Preschool classes,
with the
benefit of the student’s parent being in the water
with the child. It is great for children who have never
had a
teacher/student opportunity, and those children who may
not be ready for Preschool classes.
Youth Lessons
Ages 6 – 14
Youth swimming lessons is for all levels of ability, from the total beginner
to the pre-swim team member. There are six different levels for your
child to achieve, including water safety, diving, and a host of other
skills.
Water Aerobics (Aquacise)
Ages 15 and older
(Members Only)
Aquacise is aerobics in the water at varied levels of intensity. It offers
a wonderful way to keep fit while not impacting heavily on joints. It
uses natural resistance from the water to help tone and develop muscle
strength.
Self-Motivated Exercise
Ages 15 and older (Members
Only)
Self-Motivated Exercise allows adult participants, who do not want a
structured class, to walk and swim across the pool, or workout alone.
Water Walking
Ages 15 and older
(Members Only)
1 mile walked in the water is equivalent to 3 miles on land!
Private Swim Lessons
Private lessons are for those
who may need extra help with learning to swim. These
lessons are conducted on a 1 to 1 ratio. Please call
329-9622 to schedule.
Pool Parties
The YMCA can host celebrations
for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions.
Come and have fun in the pool before easting in the
lobby area. Book early; there is limited space.
Open Swim
(Members Only)
During open swim, the pool is open to all members for fun of any kind. Children
under age 12 must be accompanied at all times by a parent.
Family
Swim
All ages (Members Only)
Family Swim offers a special time for families to enjoy the pool. A parent
must accompany children
SilverSplash
New to the Charlotte Avenue YMCA is SilverSplash®. This is a fun water class set to music; designed to burn calories, increase flexibility and balance and boost metabolism by elevating your heart rate. Humana and the Charlotte Ave. YMCA are going GREEN! Humana card members that walk or participate 12 times in class will receive a free reusable grocery bag.

New Masters Swim Club
Ages: 18 and up
Cost: $20 / month Members;
$30 / month for Nonmembers
This club provides organized workouts that will include drills that will
help with technique and endurance. This is a seasonal program that
you can join at any time! All skill levels are welcome, as long as you
can swim a length without stopping. Session dates follow the swim
lessons dates above.

Preschool
Lessons
Ages 3 – 5
Preschool lessons offer the first steps to learning how to swim. This
class has three different levels for children to achieve. It is a great
way to introduce your child to aquatic safety.
Adult Lessons
Ages 13 and older
Adult lessons help those who have an acute fear of the water up to those
that need advanced stroke development. The course is fun and low key,
with the participant setting the pace of the course.

Private Lessons
We offer private swim lessons year round. If interested, please contact the front desk for a private lesson request form.
Sharks Swim Club
A club for swimmers that want a less competitive atmosphere and focuses on skills and endurance. If interested, please call329-9622.
Arthritis Aquatics
Ages 15 and older (Members
Only)
Find relief by taking this course, which puts you through specific exercises
to alleviate some of the aches and pains caused by arthritis. A doctor’s
note is required in order to take this class.
CPR/ FPR
Ages 15 and older
This Red Cross course will instruct the participant on how to handle
certain life threatening situations. This course is the next step up
from basic CPR and includes more skills and techniques.
Aquatic Personal Training
Qualified personal trainers will
fit your personal fitness needs for any type or level
of fitness you require. Please call 329-9622 to e
