First Thursday Club

The First Thursday Club is a social club for mentally challenged adults. All consumers of the York County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs who are over 18 years old are eligible to participate. The club meets on the first Thursday of each month at the Charlotte Avenue Branch from 6:30-8 p.m. Various community groups provide the entertainment. In addition, the club takes at least one trip each month.

Volunteers are needed to chaperone club meetings and trips. Monetary as well as in-kind donations of refreshments, decorations, arts, crafts, etc., are greatly appreciated. Community groups (businesses and not-for-profit organizations) who would like to provide entertainment, trips, or other activities are encouraged to contact Linda McCallum at 329-9622 extension 262.

Playground, gymnasium and YMCA bouncy house rental

party or event. Let us take the stress out of hosting by choosing one
of our party packages below.

All party packages require a $50 deposit payable by check. The deposit
must be paid before your party is officially booked on the party calendar.

Leaders Club

Leaders Club is a volunteer organization open to local high school boys and girls. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:15 p.m. Members of the club assist in implementing YMCA programs such as indoor soccer, youth basketball, and t-ball. During the events, members serve as referees, scorekeepers and field monitors. The club also holds several social events including the highlighted year-end beach trip. There is no cost to join. Newsletter

The Silver Fox Club is a Senior Travel group formed to bring people together for fun and fellowship as they travel. Each month, the group meets to discuss upcoming trips and plan the future adventures. There are local outings as well as trips abroad for those who wish to see the world. Traveling as a group, the details are planned and fees are reasonable! Don’t sweat the small stuff, we’ve covered that, too!

Membership fees are $15 for YMCA members and $20 for non YMCA members.
