
Karate
In association with Greer’s Martial Arts Academy,
the YMCA is offering UNIVERSAL KARATE-DO classes for 4 years
old
and older. Cohen Greer is the chief instructor. UNIVERSAL KARATE-DO
combines physical conditioning along with mental discipline
to produce a sound mind and a healthy body. The classes for
Karate are Thursdays, 5:30 – 6:30 pm and Saturdays,
10-11 am. The monthly cost is $30 for YMCA members and $45 for
non-members.
Flag Football
Ages 6-8

Birth Certificate is required at time of registration.

Games held on Monday or Tuesday evenings.
Tackle Football

T-Ball
T-Ball is a non-competitive, team based program
for boys and girls. It is designed to teach the basic skills
and concepts of the game in a fun-filled safe environment.
Cost: $35 Members $45 Non-members
Gymnastics
Beginning Thursday, June 7th, Thomas Gymnastics will be
offering gymnastics classes at the Chester YMCA. Classes
are for ages 3 to 5 years old and ages 6 years and up. Registration
is $40 for member and $50 for non-members. Please bring the
child’s birth certificate when registering so a copy
can be made for our records. Classes will be at 3:00pm for
ages 3-5 and at 4:00pm for ages 6 and up. Space is limited,
so please register early!!
Cheerleading
The Chester County YMCA has registration for cheerleading
going on now! There are three divisions: Flag division ages
4 -8 years of age, Small Fry division-ages 9-10 years of
age and Mite division-ages 11-12 years of age. Parents will
complete a registration form and provide a birth certificate
for the child so a copy of it can be made for records. The
registration is $35 for all participants.
Bridge Club
The Tuesday Duplicate Bridge Club meets at the YMCA every
Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 pm in the conference room. The ladies
are thrilled to have such a nice place to play bridge. Anyone
interested in joining should contact Leila Shannon at 385-6452
or Scott Brown at 581-9622. Mrs. Shannon will be happy
to teach anyone the techniques of duplicate bridge, although
there are really no major differences from party bridge. Come
join the fun and fellowship of a game.

Child Watch
The Chester County YMCA offers Child Watch free to members.
This is a program that allows members to bring their child/ren
to the YMCA with them while they work out. Members sign in
their child/ren in the Child Watch room and staff members will
watch the children while parents work out.

Dance
The Chester County YMCA offers dance classes to students
ages 3 to age 15. The classes are taught by Jodie Peele from
Winthrop University. Classes are on Tuesdays evenings. The
classes are broken up by age group as follows: ages 3-6, ages
7 to 11 and ages 12-15. Ages 3-6 study ballet, tap and creative
movement with class starting at 5PM until 6:15PM. Ages 7-11
study ballet, tap and jazz. This class is from 6:15PM to 7:30PM.
Ages 12-15 study ballet, tap and jazz and will start at 7:30PM
until 8:45PM. Two dance recitals are planned. The cost for
the class is $30 for members and $45 for non-members. For more
