Fitness Center At the Clover Branch YMCA, the fully equipped fitness center includes Magnum weight machines, free weights, treadmills, recumbent bikes, and cross trainers. Group Fitness Class We offer a variety of fitness classes each week! We have certified instructors in classes such as Yoga, Sculpt, Pilates, SilverSneakers, Zumba, Yoga Stretch, Group Cycle, Get on the Ball!, Kick Boxing, Kettlebell and Cardio Blast. Monthly Schedules are available at the front desk or online at www.upymca.org Fitness Center Orientations Fitness Center orientations with a certified strength trainer are available free of charge. We provide a safe, effective, easy-to-understand, personalized workout program. Call to set up an appointment. All children must be 15 or older to use the weights unless they have completed the youth strength training course for ages 12-14. All aerobics classes contain cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility exercises. (The durations and intensity of each depends on the class description.) 6-week prenatal/postpartum Yoga workshop. Your
class experience will include breathing techniques,
stretching and relaxation. We will utilize props and
learn modifications of traditional Yoga poses to Kettlebell Kettlebell classes are now being offered! These classes build functional strength and are perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels. Similar to interval training, kettlebelling helps individuals build muscle while burning fat and calories simultaneously. SilverSneakers and Yoga Lite SilverSneakers is a nationally designed excercise regimen to improve strength, flexibility and range of motion as well as alleviate the pain of arthritis. Yoga Lite is a great beginners class and an excellent way to increase flexibility and get started on your fitness goals.
