Parent/Child
Ages 6 months- 3 years
Parent/Tot offers a golden opportunity to introduce your baby/
infant to the water. Parents participate with their child in
the water during familiarization activities. The class consists
of various water games, songs, and movement in the water.
Youth Lessons
Ages 6 – 14
Youth swimming lessons is for all levels of ability, from the
total beginner to the pre-swim team member. There are six different
levels for your child to achieve, including water safety, diving,
and a host of other skills.
Summer Swim Team
Ages 4 – 18
Summer Swim Team is a fun and exciting opportunity for all children
who want to improve their strokes and swim competitively against
other YMCAs. It is a very low-key, introduction to a wonderful
sport. If interested, please call 329-9622 to be put on a mailing
list.
Water Aerobics (Aquacise)
Ages 15 and older
(Members Only)
Aquacise is aerobics in the water at varied levels of intensity.
It offers a wonderful way to keep fit while not impacting heavily
on joints. It uses natural resistance from the water to help
tone and develop muscle strength.
Best Practices
-Be courteous to the instructor
and to others
-Exercise at your own pace
-Give instructor feedback on exercises or routines you like

Self-Motivated
Exercise
Ages 15 and older (Members
Only)
Self-Motivated Exercise allows adult participants, who do not
want a structured class, to walk and swim across the pool, or
workout alone.
Water Walking Etiquette
-Be courteous to others when pool is crowded
-Be consistent with line of path
-Yield to faster walkers

Pool
Parties
The YMCA can host celebrations
for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions.
Come and have fun in the pool before easting in the
lobby area. Book early; there is limited space. Preschool
Lessons
Ages 3 – 5
Preschool lessons offer the first steps to learning how to swim.
This class has three different levels for children to achieve.
It is a great way to introduce your child to aquatic safety.
Adult Lessons
Ages 13 and older
Adult lessons help those who have an acute fear of the water
up to those that need advanced stroke development. The course
is fun and low key, with the participant setting the pace of
the course.

Lifeguarding
Ages
15 and older
The Lifeguarding course instructs participants in both lifeguarding
and CPR for the professional rescuer. Successful completion will
gain the participant certification by the Red Cross.
CPR/
FPR
Ages 15 and older
This Red Cross course will instruct the participant on how to
handle certain life threatening situations. This course is
the next step up from basic CPR and includes more skills and
techniques.
Family
Swim
All ages (Members Only)
Family Swim offers a special time for families to enjoy the pool.
A parent must accompany children.
Open Swim
(Members Only)
During open swim, the pool is open to all members for fun of
any kind. Children under age 12 must be accompanied at all
times by a parent.
