Be Great 8k

The Kiwanis Club of Rock Hill will present the Be Great 8k in support of local charities on Saturday, September 20, 2014.  The race will be held rain or shine.  This is a USATF Certified 8k Course (4.93 miles).  It is on paved streets and sidewalks through Winthrop University and the Glencairn Garden area. Basketball Skills Development

Ages: 8-17
Working with Bobby Isom, participants will work to improve ball handling, shooting, passing, defense, agility and basketball knowledge.

Session Dates:
September 8-October 4, 2014
Ages 8-12: Monday, Wednesday 6:30-8:00 pm and Saturday 10:00-11:00 am
Ages 13-17: Tuesday, Thursday 6:30-8:00 pm and Saturday 11:00 am – 12 noon

$70 for Members | $80 for Nonmembers

Sports, Speed and Agility Camp

Ages: 8-18

This 8 session Speed and Agility camp includes Circuits/HITT type training, speed and agility drills, while teaching athletes proper form and techniques to improve their speed, agility, balance and coordination.  Various types of equipment will be used like LIGHT kettlebells, cone and ladder drills, agility poles, medicine balls, resistance bands, steps, hurdles and a lot of core work.  This is a non-sports specific training and will help your athlete become stronger, faster and more agile in their desired sport!  Instructed by : Debbie Rast, CPT/CST/Cjets Kettlebell Certified and Bobby Isom, CPT/IYCA/Youth Athletic Trainer. Bring Water!!!!

GRA-Y Football

Ages: 10-12

GRA-Y Football is a co-ed competitive league intended for kids age 11-12.  Participants will play for the school they attend or live closest to.  All participants must have birth certificates and proof of residence (report card) in order to register. Participants cannot turn 13 before September 1, 2014.

Practice begins August 4-December 1, 2014

Ages: 5-12

Build confidence, friendships and have a great time by participating in YMCA Cheerleading.  All ages of Youth Cheer (Small Fry, Pee Wee and Gra-Y Cheer) are now organized under the same umbrella, the UPYMCA.  Questions? Youth Strength Training

Youth Strength Training

Ages:  10-14

This program is designed to inform and assist our Y Family Youth ages 10-14.  A two hour orientation is given by a Personal Trainer and a strength program is designed to fit the youth’s physical needs.


One 2 hour orientation
Two days 1 hour orientation each day

Snowmobiling at Yellowstone

Snowmobiling at Yellowstone

Enjoy two full days of snowmobiling in the forest surrounding West Yellowstone, Montana, and a one day guided tour into Yellowstone National Park in a “snow coach” or by snowmobile. You will see abundant wildlife with buffalo, elk, moose and more, and a winter wonderland with snow covered mountains and world famous geysers!

Ages Restrictions:
In order to drive a snowmobile, you must be 16 years of age and have a valid driver license. Any age may ride double with an adult.

Registration Dates:
Receive a $25 per person discount if you register before September 1, 2014.

Payment schedule:
Choice of: 2 days of snowmobiling and 1 day snow coach tour into Yellowstone National Park or 3 days of snowmobile rental.
