YMCA Adventure Guides

Adventure Guides is a father/child program that provides opportunities for fathers and children to spend quality time together making memories. The program is designed to build strong lasting relationships by understanding companionship and a shared appreciation for the outdoors. Fall and spring trips are included. Cost:
$109 per adult | $99 per child
All other events are optional and will require a separate registration.
Additional fees will include camping materials and food during camping trips. YMCA Camp Cherokee will provide meals during the Fall and Spring Longhouse events.

 


Diabetes Prevention Program

The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is a one-year, community-based program where participants work in small groups with a trained Lifestyle Coach in a relaxed, classroom setting. In 16 weekly sessions followed by 8 monthly sessions, participants learn how to incorporate healthier eating, moderate physical activity, and problem-solving and coping skills into their daily lives. Participants will get the hands-on support they need from Lifestyle Coaches trained on a CDC-approved curriculum that is part of the CDC-led National Diabetes Prevention Program.

Program Details:
