Indoor Soccer- ages 7-8
Ages: 7-8
This soccer program teaches basic techniques for kicking, passing, offense, defense and learning the rules of the game. Participants will practice for 15 minutes and then play a 35 minute game.

Swim Lessons
Preschool
4-5 years old
Level 1- Orients preschool-age children to the aquatic environment and to help them acquire rudimentary level aquatic skills.
Level 2- Builds on the basic aquatic skills learned in Level 1.
Level 3- Increases proficiency and builds on the aquatic skills learned in Levels 1 and 2 by providing additional practice with increased distances and times.

Learn-to-Swim Level 1- Develop positive attitudes, good swimming habits and safe practices in and around water.
Learn-to-Swim Level 2- Gives participants success with fundamental skills, including learning how to float without support and recover to vertical.
Learn-to-Swim Level 3- Builds on the skills in Level 2 by providing additonal guided practice in deeper water.
Learn-to-Swim Level 4- Develops participants’ confidence in the strokes learned in Level 3 and to improve other aquatic skills.

Level 1- Introduction to the water and preparation for the Learn-to-Swim courses. No prerequisites, but must be at least 6 months old to enroll. Parent or caregiver must accompany child into the water and participate in the class.

Private Lessons
One on one instruction at any swimming level from a qualified instructor. Fast pace learning with significant skill improvement.
Cost: 1- 30 minute lesson: $25 Members | $30 Non-members
4- 30 minute lesson:s $80 Members | $100 Non-members
Group Lessons
All classes are offered!
Participate with siblings or friends and receive intense hands on instruction from a qualified instructor. Minimum of 2 participants.

2012-2013 After School Program
After School is a safe, stimulating and fun environment for children to learn through participation. We incorporate the basic Christian Values: Honesty, Responsibility, Respect and Caring in our activities. Our program is designed to enhance your child’s school day through activities such as homework support, field trips, large and small group games, devotions and singing.
After School features:

Days & Times:
Monday through Friday After School: School dismissal until 6:00 pm
All Day Care: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (6:15pm for Clover and York Branches)
Registration: Download the Registration Form/Brochure or inquire at the branch’s front desk to register. Nonmember YMCA participants are required to pay a $25 nonrefundable registration fee.

Jumpstart Program
What is the JumpStart Program?
Through a generous grant from the Chester Health Care Foundation, the Chester County YMCA has been able to institute the JumpStart Program. This program is a collaborative effort to decrease the significant health risk factors that currently exist within our community.
Who Qualifies?
The JumpStart program is for those who are at significant risk or currently suffer from High Blood Pressure, Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, Obesity, and Cancer.
How will it help me?
JumpStart is a six month program designed to help you create a healthier lifestyle that will include a regular habit of exercise and a better quality of life.
Wellness Advisor
Each participant will be assigned an advisor that will design your individual exercise program and monitor your progress throughout the six months.
Fitness Assessment
You will receive a fitness assessment at the beginning, middle, and end of the program. This will help to track your progress and keep you motivated.
Health Age
Your health age will be calculated based on your current health conditions and family history. This health age is compared to your actual calendar age.
Current Risk Factors
Your current risk factors will be calculated. You will also be instructed on lifestyle changes that can decrease these risks.

All your workout sessions will be logged into a computer software program designed specially for the Chester County YMCA, allowing your advisor to monitor your attendance.
Indoor Soccer

This program teaches the fundamentals of the game of football. The YMCA character traits are taught: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. A birth certificate is required at the time of registration. Coaches focus on the importance of good sportsmanship.
