Cheer Jewel Tumbling

The Fort Mill Complex is offering tumbling classes that work on skills such as cartwheels, round offs and standing backbends. The course will also provide advanced skills such as standing back handspring, walkovers and running tumbling. Children will advance once skills are achieved.

This co-ed, summer swim league focuses on developing quality stroke technique, participation and fundamentals. Each participant’s age as of June 1 will determine their age division for the season. Practice times will be determined by age group.

Join Bobby Isom for a co-ed, basketball skills camp to reiterate the basic fundamentals of basketball. Over the course of the week, Bobby will work on all aspects of your basketball game including: dribbling, shooting, footwork, defense and more.

Challenger’s British Soccer Camp

Challenger’s British Soccer Camp

The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs.

Pee-Wee Sampler Clinic

A new program introducing 3-4 year olds to a variety of sports. This 6 week program will cover tee-ball, athletic conditioning and basketball in a 2 week series. Every week will focus on drills and skills for each sport.

Camps at The Complex

As part of a recent agreement, the YMCA will begin management of the Springs Complex at some point in 2018. While an exact date has not been announced, both parties are working to make the transition as seamless as possible for area residents and members. As a part of this transition, parents will register for 2018 Camps at the Complex through the Fort Mill YMCA. Rest assured that members and residents alike will continue to see the same quality programs and services that the Complex and the YMCA have provided for years.

Complex members that are not currently YMCA members will not receive the member rate when registering online. To receive the member rate please register in person at the Fort Mill YMCA. For membership verification, please  bring your Complex Membership Card.

YMCA Adventure Guides

Adventure Guides is a father/child program that provides opportunities for fathers and children to spend quality time together making memories. The program is designed to build strong lasting relationships by understanding companionship and a shared appreciation for the outdoors. Fall and spring trips are included. $109 per adult | $99 per child
All other events are optional and will require a separate registration.
Additional fees will include camping materials and food during camping trips. YMCA Camp Cherokee will provide meals during the Fall and Spring Longhouse events.

Revamp Your Training

A four week ongoing program (formerly known as Metabolic Makeover) designed to instruct participants in effective weight training and cardiovascular exercise. This program includes weekly lectures that will help you stay on track, take your workouts to the next level and continue eating in a healthy manner.

American Red Cross Jr. Lifeguard

American Red Cross Junior Lifeguard Training will guild youth to the American Red Cross lifeguarding course by building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills for future lifeguards. They will learn techniques and build stamina during this program. THEY WILL NOT RECEIVE A CERTIFICATION IN Lifeguarding or CPR/First Aid, AT THE END OF THE COURSE.

This program will be offered on two different weeks this summer. Choose only one week to attend.

Diabetes Prevention Program

The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is a one-year, community-based program where participants work in small groups with a trained Lifestyle Coach in a relaxed, classroom setting. In 16 weekly sessions followed by 8 monthly sessions, participants learn how to incorporate healthier eating, moderate physical activity, and problem-solving and coping skills into their daily lives. Participants will get the hands-on support they need from Lifestyle Coaches trained on a CDC-approved curriculum that is part of the CDC-led National Diabetes Prevention Program.

“…programs like YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program reduce new cases of type 2 diabetes by 58% overall and 71% in individuals over age 60.” – research from the National Institutes of Health
