Join us for friends, fun and sun! The Upper Palmetto YMCA summer camps provide activities that are educational, exciting and fun, but more importantly, it is an experience that builds self esteem, lasting friendships and treasured memories.

Summer day camp is a full day program with activities including weekly themes, field trips, swimming, games, daily devotions, team building activities, arts and crafts, character development and much more!

Our staff works diligently to make participation in our program a positive experience. We choose leaders who exemplify outstanding character, compassion and a love of children. We are committed to a thorough recruitment process including a drug screening and background check. Each staff member participates in comprehensive training and is CPR and First-Aid certified.

Financial assistance is available. Please complete the financial assistance application available online or pick-up one at the front desk. Please allow 4 weeks for processing before your child’s anticipated start date.

The program is closed on July 4th.

Challenger’s British Soccer Camp

Challenger’s British Soccer Camp

The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs.

Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website.

Coach Lowery has over 24 years of coaching experience and has directed H.O.O.P.S. Basketball Camps since 1994.

PrimeTime Players Summer Youth Basketball League

PrimeTime Players Summer Youth Basketball League

This 8-week basketball program designed to introduce kids to biddy basketball with emphasis on teaching kids the basic skill of basketball, and also making sure all kids are being involved during game play. This is a introductory program where the skill level doesn’t matter and we are here to make sure the kids have a great experience and learn the importance or team work and learn how fun basketball can be. We will take volunteers as coaches for this program but will be limited to only four teams.

The 7-8 year olds program will be directed at getting kids ready for the next level of competitive basketball with emphasis on teaching kids the correct fundamental. PrimeTime Players will bring in local trainers as coaches for all 4 teams. We will not use volunteer coaches for this age group. There will be 2 weeks of just training, then 6 weeks of games with a short practice before each game.

American Red Cross Jr. Lifeguard

American Red Cross Junior Lifeguard Training will guild youth to the American Red Cross lifeguarding course by building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills for future lifeguards. They will learn techniques and build stamina during this program. THEY WILL NOT RECEIVE A CERTIFICATION IN Lifeguarding or CPR/First Aid, AT THE END OF THE COURSE.

This program will be offered on two different weeks this summer. Choose only one week to attend.

Speaking roles are available for all participants, giving everyone an opportunity to be in the spotlight. Performing Arts help students develop imagination, creativity, focus and confidence. Not only will students sing, dance and act but they will learn some history along the way as they perform hits from Elvis, The Beatles, Michael Jackson and many more!

What was America like from 1930-1950? Events like the Great Depression and World War II changed the lives of girls in America. Enjoy exploring the lifestyles and events of this important period of history. During class girls will have the opportunity to study history with hands-on projects as they learn the difficulties and triumphs of the era. Girls will enjoy journalism, art,music, home arts, geography, economics and of course history through the stories and characters of Kit and Ruthie.
