Bricks 4 Kidz: Minecraft I

Experience the world of Minecraft® using LEGO® Bricks in this fun and challenging camp!  In the popular Minecraft game, a player takes on an avatar to use resources to explore and build and craft items.  Bricks 4 Kidz takes it to a whole-new level by adding motorized models, mosaics and more!  Daily Challenges on the full version of the game and crafting lots of cool creations.  Campers will build and take home a daily project!

Bricks 4 Kidz: Digital Comic Creator Camp w/ LEGO

Lights, Camera….Bricks Comic!  Explore and learn the art form of comic book design as you create your own comic book characters and develop story lines filled with pictures of actual sets you design and build with LEGO bricks!  After creating scenes, you will take pictures, upload them to a software program and make your own one-of-a-kind comic book.   Along with honing your story telling skills we’re going to take your imagination to the next level.  By the end of our camp, you’re going to get to keep a digital comic book that you’ve created!

After School

The Upper Palmetto YMCA is committed to providing the highest quality After School care possible. We are excited about the unique programming opportunities provided by our After School program. We incorporate the basic Christian values of honesty, responsibility, respect and caring in our activities. Our program is designed to enhance your child’s school day through activities such as homework support, field trips, large and small group games, devotions and singing.

We strive to develop the whole child through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all, including the following:

Healthy Spirit -We offer daily devotion time, and a group discussion time, where youth have the opportunity to reflect on their day, talk about issues and concerns impacting their lives. Youth also develop a stronger understanding of the core YMCA values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Caring.

Healthy Mind -We know how important homework time is. We provide a structured study room where youth have 30-45 minutes of homework time. Staff are on hand to support youth as they work on their assigments.

Healthy Body – In an effort to promote healthy living, the YMCA provides at least 30 minutes of daily fitness time. Activities may include:kickball game, team sports, relay races, group games, or yoga.

Transportation from school to the Fort Mill Branch YMCA is provided for your child for the following schools:

A limited amount of financial assistance is available. Please complete the application available at the YMCA Front Offices and allow 3-4 weeks for processing prior to the first day of enrollment.  After School Financial Assistance is applied during the After School/Summer Day Camp cycle beginning in August and ending the following August.

Program Dates: Each YMCA After School Program follows the schedule of their local School District when scheduling child care days, teacher holidays, inclement weather days, in service days and other holidays.

Summer Swim Team

Recreational Summer Swim Team

This is a wonderful first time experience for any swimmers that may be interested in joining a swim team or anyone who just loves to swim! Kids will enjoy 2 practices a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Participants will then compete in weekly swim meets with other local  YMCA swim teams on Thursdays.

Bricks 4 Kidz: Minecraft II

Whether or not your child attended Session I of our awesome Minecraft camp, he/she will love having game challenges and crafting new models, mosaics and more  from the Mine Craft world!  Campers will be challenged to bring their virtual designs from the game to life with LEGO bricks and share their skills and knowledge with their peers. Challenger’s British Soccer Camp

Challenger’s British Soccer Camp

The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs.

Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website.

American History Camp

Join American Girl Doll Molly for a fun filled Camp with a focus on exploring the lifestyles and events from the 1940’s-1950’s.

T-Ball League

Ages: 3-6

A fun and non-competitive t-ball development league for players ages 3-6.  Players will learn the fundamentals of baseball while developing eye-hand coordination and motor skills. Parents will be able to choose between Mondays or Wednesdays. The participants will have a 20 minute practice followed by a 40 minute game each week.

Season: June 6- July 30, 2016

Days & Times:

Ages 3-4 will play from 4:30 pm-5:30 pm Mondays or Wednesdays

Ages 5-6 will play from 5:30-6:30 pm Mondays or Wednesdays

Football Camp


Participants will learn the fundamentals of organized football. Team work and sportsmanship will be the focus, assuring that each participant will have the potential for personal growth. The camp is a co-ed league and lead by Coach John Adams with the Fort Mill YMCA.
