This is a small group sports training class that will help young athletes to become faster, stronger, and more explosive. The classes are held on the Fort Mill YMCA soccer field.

Breakfast With Santa
“Santa Claus is coming to TOWN!” The Fort Mill YMCA is hosting our Second Annual Breakfast with Santa! On Saturday December 6, 2014 we will have a magical holiday wonderland for you and your family. We will be offering breakfast, holiday arts and crafts, bouncy house, fun games, and a high resolution digital picture with Santa sent to your email address. We invite kids of all ages!

We looking forward to seeing everyone from our community! We are asking for parents to register at the Fort Mill YMCA. We have reserved seating times to ensure for a quicker wait to see Santa! Even though you will receive a high resolution digital picture with your ticket, we encourage parents to bring their own cameras as well to capture these memories from the event!

All of the proceeds from Breakfast with Santa will benefit our 2015 Annual Campaign. The Annual Campaign assists families and children in need and ensures that they will be able to take advantage of YMCA services.
The YMCA Youth Dance Program continues to be one of our most popular programs. This season will include the option of Hip Hop and Acrobatics classes. Classes will be held at the Fort Mill and Gold Hill Branches. The season will begin after Labor Day and end with a recital to be held at the end of April or first of May. There is a $35 cancellation fee and no refunds are given for prepaid months of dance. Cancellations must be received in writing by the 25th of the month in order to cancel for the next month.

The YMCA’s dance classes for younger children offer the opportunity to learn the basic to intermediate fundamentals of ballet and tap. Classes are designed to enhance fine and gross motor skills and cultivate imagination, creativity and social development in a caring environment. Students will grow and develop as they learn the fundamental vocabulary and skills associated with dance. They will learn to follow a teacher’s instruction, interact with peers and develop self-confidence.

The YMCA’s dance classes for older children offer a variety of dance for all levels. Students will learn beginning to advanced level steps and combinations depending on the class. Along with vocabulary, stage direction, technique and body placement, students will learn creative expression and expore the art of dance.

Middle School Mania
This fun event is held the first Saturday each month during the school year from 7 – 10 pm (subject to holidays or facility availability). Dance to the latest hits spun by our professional DJ, play basketball or just hang out with your friends in “The Zone.” Concessions will be sold. School dress code applies. Guests may only leave with an approved adult. Home schooled middle schoolers are welcome too!
