Defensive Options and Sparology!

Foundation Level Self-defense Class

Join Nick Leach for Fit to Fight’s brand of Krav Maga self defense and Sparology. Fit to Fight’s Defensive Options class consists of a mix of Krav Maga, Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling and Judo. Fit to Fight’s Sparology class is a fitness and sparring class that introduces people to sparring by teaching different combinations and takedowns using gloves and focus mitts.


Nick Leach is a Black Belt instructor at Fit to Fight in Defensive Options (Krav Maga), is a certified instructor for the From The Ground Up and Sparology programs, as well as a fitness instructor.

Foundation Level Defensive Options – Introduction to our Krav Maga and Sparology programs. High intensity conditioning and combatives.

Sparology – Fitness and sparring class with the best of Thai boxing, Wrestling and Boxing.

Challenger’s British Soccer Camp

Challenger’s British Soccer Camp

The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs.

Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website.

American Red Cross Lifeguarding Training:  Instructors will train and certify participants in American Red Cross Lifeguard programs which include CPR/First Aid/AED and Emergency Oxygen. Certifications can be used to work at the YMCA pools as well as other aquatic facilities.

American Red Cross Jr. Lifeguard

American Red Cross Jr. Lifeguard

American Red Cross Junior Lifeguard Training will guild youth to the American Red Cross lifeguarding course by building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills for future lifeguards. They will learn techniques and build stamina during this program. THEY WILL NOT RECEIVE A CERTIFICATION IN Lifeguarding or CPR/First Aid, AT THE END OF THE COURSE.

This program will be offered on two different weeks this summer. Choose only one week to attend.

Come create, explore, and learn!  Is there a connection between art and science? Come find out!  Join us for a four day camp full of fun and exploration!  Students will delve into science with nature journals and experiments as well as exploring famous artists and their masterpieces. Participants will be creating their own masterpieces!

Pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.

Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net.

Diabetes Prevention Program

The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is a one-year, community-based program where participants work in small groups with a trained Lifestyle Coach in a relaxed, classroom setting. In 16 weekly sessions followed by 8 monthly sessions, participants learn how to incorporate healthier eating, moderate physical activity, and problem-solving and coping skills into their daily lives. Participants will get the hands-on support they need from Lifestyle Coaches trained on a CDC-approved curriculum that is part of the CDC-led National Diabetes Prevention Program.

Race for Chase Triathlon Training Program

The CMAK Foundation has collaborated with the YMCA to sponsor the Race4Chase Kid’s Triathlon in memoriam of Chase Kowalski, the students, and educators of the Sandy Hook tragedy. This six week summer program aims to keep Chase’s energetic spirit alive by inspiring athleticism within children, ages 6 to 12, and providing them with a safe, healthy, non-competitive environment to develop a new love for the sport of triathlon.  All athletes are instructed in swimming, biking, and running, and are also taught the fundamentals of good nutrition and flexibility. At the end of program, all of the athletes in each community compete in a short-course USAT-sanctioned youth triathlon race. Registration is currently open and will close when spots are filled.
