The Fort Mill YMCA Athletic Training Zone is open! Shake-up your routine with the workout of the day. Members have access to the ATZ after an orientation. Orientations are ongoing. Contact the Fort Mill YMCA to register.

Hours:

Mon-Fri: 5:15am to 1:00pm  &  5:00-8:00pm

Sat:   8:00am-12:00pm

Sun:  1:00pm-5:00pm

 

Orientation Cost:

$25 for members

$50 for non-members

*Orientations are by appointment only and require a 24 hour notice.

Metabolic Makeover Summer Program

Ages: 15 to 70

This comprehensive 8 week wellness program is perfect for the beginner or de-conditioned, but all levels are welcome! Metabolic Makeover is designed to instruct participants in effective weight training and cardiovascular exercise. This program includes weekly lectures that will help you stay on track, take your workouts to the next level and continue eating in a healthy manner.

Session Dates:
June 16 – August 6, 2015

Tuesdays and Thursdays | 5:30 am, 9:30 am, and 6:00 pm

Cost:
$175 Y Members | $200 Non-Y Members ($50 deposit required)


Youth Dance

Youth Dance

Ages: 3-13

The YMCA Youth Dance Program continues to be one of our most popular programs. This season will include the option of Hip Hop and Acrobatics classes. Classes will be held at the Fort Mill and Gold Hill Branches. The season will begin after Labor Day and end with a recital to be held at the end of April or first of May. There is a $35 cancellation fee and no refunds are given for prepaid months of dance. Cancellations must be received in writing by the 25th of the month in order to cancel for the next month.

Registration Dates:
Opens August 4th @ 9 am Registrations accepted at the Gold Hill Branch Only.

Season Dates:
Classes begin the week of September 14th

Cost:
$35 one-time, nonrefundable registration fee
Member Pricing  – child must remain a member throughout enrollment to maintain the member rate
Core class of ballet, tap and jazz only: $35/month (total $280)
Core class plus hip-hop or acrobatics: $50/month (total $400)
Core class plus both hip-hop and acrobatics: $65/month (total $520)
Hip-hop or acrobatics only: $35/month (total $280)
Both hip-hop and acrobatics (no core class): $50/month (total $400)

The YMCA’s dance classes for younger children offer the opportunity to learn the basic to intermediate fundamentals of ballet and tap.  Classes are designed to enhance fine and gross motor skills and cultivate imagination, creativity and social development in a caring environment.  Students will grow and develop as they learn the fundamental vocabulary and skills associated with dance.  They will learn to follow a teacher’s instruction, interact with peers and develop self-confidence.

The YMCA’s dance classes for older children offer a variety of dance for all levels.  Students will learn beginning to advanced level steps and combinations depending on the class.  Along with vocabulary, stage direction, technique and body placement, students will learn creative expression and expore the art of dance.

Masters Swim Club

Ages: 20-100

This program consists of organized workouts that will include drills to improve swim strokes. We will concentrate on free style, back stroke, breast stroke, and butterfly. Also, speed and breathing techniques will be addressed.
