Bricks 4 Kidz Winter Camp

Winter break three day camp.

Our Space Explorers Enrichment Camp with LEGO® bricks, gears, motors and more is packed full of custom motorized model building and fun activities that will make your young Explorer’s imagination blast off! Each day, campers learn about space exploration, build Bricks 4 Kidz custom models to reinforce what they learn (with time for modifications) and compete in fun Lego-based and space-themed games and activities. We’ll have Star Wars themed builds too, of course. Plus, time to build your own cool creations. What ‘out of this world’ models will you design and build? Camp Video, Camp T-shirt, and daily prizes included. Builders can bring light snack (No Nut products please).

Elite Athletes

This is a small group sports training class that will help young athletes to become faster, stronger, and more explosive. The classes are held on the Fort Mill YMCA soccer field.

The YMCA Youth Dance Program continues to be one of our most popular programs. This season will include the option of Hip Hop and Acrobatics classes. Classes will be held at the Fort Mill and Gold Hill Branches. The season will begin after Labor Day and end with a recital to be held at the end of April or first of May. There is a $35 cancellation fee and no refunds are given for prepaid months of dance. Cancellations must be received in writing by the 25th of the month in order to cancel for the next month.

The YMCA’s dance classes for younger children offer the opportunity to learn the basic to intermediate fundamentals of ballet and tap.  Classes are designed to enhance fine and gross motor skills and cultivate imagination, creativity and social development in a caring environment.  Students will grow and develop as they learn the fundamental vocabulary and skills associated with dance.  They will learn to follow a teacher’s instruction, interact with peers and develop self-confidence.

The YMCA’s dance classes for older children offer a variety of dance for all levels.  Students will learn beginning to advanced level steps and combinations depending on the class.  Along with vocabulary, stage direction, technique and body placement, students will learn creative expression and expore the art of dance.

Middle School Mania

Middle School Mania

This fun event is held the first Saturday each month during the school year from 7 – 10 pm (subject to holidays or facility availability). Dance to the latest hits spun by our professional DJ, play basketball or just hang out with your friends in “The Zone.”  Concessions will be sold.  School dress code applies.  Guests may only leave at 10 pm or with an approved adult. Home schooled middle schoolers are welcome too!

A permission slip signed by the child’s parent/guardian is required.
Event permission slips will be at the middle schools, the front desk of the Fort Mill Branch or you may download the permission slip.
