Triathlon Training Program

This 10 week triathlon training program will prepare and train the beginner to intermediate triathlete to complete a triathlon sprint. The training will include: running clinics, swim clinics (open water & pool), bike, and transition clinics. Our goal is to complete the Tri Latta Triathlon on June 13, 2015.

High School Dodgeball

Join us for high school dodgeball! The teams are co-ed and will be separated by age and year in high school. Game days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Registration ends March 27, 2015.

Girls in Motion

This is a 6-week program designed to instruct young ladies in basic effective weight training and cardiovascular exercise. Each week we will focus on discussing issues aimed at helping girls to express themselves in positive ways, and they will gain self-confidence in the process. There are only 8 spots available, so register today!

The Fort Mill YMCA Athletic Training Zone is open! Shake-up your routine with the workout of the day. Members have access to the ATZ after an orientation. Orientations are ongoing. Contact the Fort Mill YMCA to register.

Cost to use the ATZ:
$0 for members
Use of the ATZ is available to members only.

Orientation Cost:
$25 for members
$50 for non-members


Elite Athletes ATZ

Ages: 7-18

This is a small group sports training class that will help young athletes to become faster, stronger, and more explosive. The classes meet twice weekly and are held in the Fort Mill YMCA ATZ (Athletic Training Zone) or out on the soccer fields.

Hoops Camp

We are offering a 1-week youth basketball camp for ages 7-14.  This co-ed camp is designed to teach the fundamental skills of the sport as well as build confidence and good leadership abilities.  There will be games, contests, a guest speaker, T-shirts, and awards ceremony.

Home School PE

Participants will acquire a wide knowledge of various skills, games, and activities relevant to a personal level of competence. Evaluations are available upon request that will address student’s progress, behavior, and suggestions for continued improvement.

*Participants must be registered one week prior to session start date.

*Program must have 6 participants or the session will be cancelled.

Ages: K – 5th grades

Session Dates:

Thursdays: February 5 – 26, March 5 – 26, April 9 – 30, & May 7 – 28

Times: 10:30 to 11:30 am.

Fast Feet: Couch to 5k

This beginner running program will coach runners to train for a 5k in 8 weeks. The class includes clinics on form, nutrition, pace, and injury prevention. This class will meet at the Gold Hill YMCA.

Ages: 16-100

Youth Fast Feet

Ages: 7-15

Encourage your child’s pursuit of running in our fun, safe and positive training program. We will train and coach youth runners to complete a 5k while encouraging good sportsmanship, teaching team building skills and the basics of running.

Lifeguarding Training Course

Ages: 16 and up

This class certifies participants in American Red Cross Lifeguarding which includes lifeguarding, CPR/AED, Emergency Oxygen and First Aid. Students must pass a pre-requisite swimming exam of 300 yards before being allowed to continue with the class. Certifications can be used to work at the YMCA pools as well as other aquatic facilities. Registration ends March 4, 2015.
