Lifeguarding Certification Course
Ages: 15 and up
American Red Cross Lifeguarding Training: Instructors will train and certify participants in American Red Cross Lifeguard programs which include CPR/First Aid/AED and Emergency Oxygen. Certifications can be used to work at the YMCA pools as well as other aquatic facilities.

Are you ready to take the Boot Camp Challenge every Saturday? This Boot Camp will be taught each week by a nationally certified personal trainer who is ready to take your workout to the extreme level! This Boot Camp Program is not for the faint of heart. The workout intensity is on an Advanced to Extreme Level. Beginners are urged to try a regular group fitness class before attempting this class.
All participants are expected to pay at the Gold Hill front desk at least 15 minutes prior to class each Saturday with either cash, credit card, or check. Class begins promptly at 9:00 am.
Each Saturday beginning November 2nd. (There will not be a Boot Camp on Nov. 30th)

The YMCA Youth Dance Program continues to be one of our most popular programs. This season will include the option of Hip Hop and Acrobatics classes. Classes will be held at the Fort Mill and Gold Hill Branches. The season will begin after Labor Day and end with a recital to be held at the end of April or first of May.

The YMCA’s dance classes for younger children offer the opportunity to learn the basic to intermediate fundamentals of ballet and tap. Classes are designed to enhance fine and gross motor skills and cultivate imagination, creativity and social development in a caring environment. Students will grow and develop as they learn the fundamental vocabulary and skills associated with dance. They will learn to follow a teacher’s instruction, interact with peers and develop self-confidence.

The YMCA’s dance classes for older children offer a variety of dance for all levels. Students will learn beginning to advanced level steps and combinations depending on the class. Along with vocabulary, stage direction, technique and body placement, students will learn creative expression and expore the art of dance.

Snow Skiing in Snowmass/Aspen, CO

2013 Stroke Clinic
This clinic targets those participants from ages 7-13 looking for a swim team type of coaching, increased stroke development and endurance building. Children must have knowledge of all 4 strokes. The swimmer must have swam for 1 season on a swim team. These are not swim lessons.

Half Marathon Fast Feet Training
This training program offers a beginner, intermediate or advanced half marathon running schedule. This program has helped thousands of runners take their training to the next level, a HALF MARATHON (13.1 miles). This class will teach participants to follow a weekly training plan. The participants will meet as a group once per week for support and encouragement. Each week, runners will get new running tips on form, proper footwear, strength, flexibility, health, and nutrition.

Snowmobiling at Yellowstone National Park
In order to drive a snowmobile you must be 16 years of age and have a valid driver license. Any age may ride double with an adult.
Enjoy two full days of snowmobiling in the forest surrounding West Yellowstone, Montana, a one day guided tour into Yellowstone National Park in a “snow coach” or by snowmobile, an abundant wildlife with buffalo, elk, moose and more, and a winter wonderland with snow covered mountains and world famous geysers!
Receive a $50 per person discount if you register before August 31st, 2013.
