Pre-Natal Yoga
Six (6) weeks, 2 days/week (Mon/Friday) of Pre-natal Yoga. This class will focus on relieving back discomfort, opening the hips, practicing pain relieving breathing and overall preparation for child birth. Pre-natal yoga classes may lessen your dependence on medication, help to calm yourself and your baby, and enable you to have a natural, more comfortable birth.

SurvYvor School
Ages: 18 and older
This challenging and rewarding course, led by John Adams, will incorporate “boot camp” style fitness activities and power drills to help the client get into the best shape of their life.
Registration and Session Dates: Ongoing each month
Sessions begin at the first of each month.
Times:
Tuesday/Thursdays at 6:15 am for one hour
Cost: $99 per month
Youth Fitness Guidelines
The following guidelines are in place for the safety and well-being of all of our YMCA participants.
· All youth ages 10 – 14 should check in with YMCA Staff upon arrival.
· Youth ages 10-12 years of age may use ONLY the cardio equipment with adult supervison at all times. They are required to go through a FREE FITNESS orientation to learn proper usage of cardio equipment and fitness floor rules.
· Youth ages 12 – 14 will not need adult supervision AFTER attending these classes; however, if they are not able to follow the fitness floor rules, then they may be asked to leave the floor
· Youth Age 12 and up may participate in GROUP FITNESS CLASSES with adult supervision. Please note there are specific “Kid Fit” classes for children ages 3 – 12 years of age available weekly.
Youth Age 15 and up have access to use all fitness floor equipment and attend all group fitness classes.
Youth Sports Conditioning
Ages: 7-18 years (both boys and girls)
Designed for youth who are ready and willing to take their sports performance to the next level, this program focuses on building speed, strength, agility, quickness and endurance. These factors allow athletes at every level to improve their performance. Individuals will train with a group of no more than 8 participants with a certified Personal Trainer. Groups are divided by age 7-12 years and 13-18 years and meet twice per week. We are certain that your child will not only benefit from this program but enjoy it as well!

* We will meet at the Fort Mill Branch athletic fields where we may run the obstacle course or run the trails. During inclement weather, we will utilize the gymnasium or the indoor pool. Advance notice will be given.
Handball/Racquetball
Included in Association YMCA membership is use of the handball and racquetball courts at the Fort Mill Branch YMCA. Two first-class courts are available. Call after 9 am on the day of play to reserve a court for one hour. On Friday, reservations may be made for the weekend. The YMCA Board of Directors and staff urge all players to wear protective eye guards.
Cycling Classes
Check out the fitness class schedule for cycling classes. Instructors integrate road-bike techniques into indoor, class formats on stationary bikes. Complete with music and visualization techniques, these classes take groups on an imaginary ride providing an outstanding fitness workout. The cycling room is located upstairs, across from the group fitness room.
Fitness Classes
Certified exercise instructors teach all fitness classes. All aerobics classes contain cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility exercises. (The durations and intensity of each depends on the class description.) Call (803) 548-8020 for times and locations of classes, pick up a monthly schedule at the front desk.
Fitness Center Orientations
Orientations may be scheduled free of charge with one of our Fitness Trainers. An orientation allows our trainers to talk with you about your goals and help you through the fitness equipment, setting your proper weight to lift and assisting with the correct seat settings for your workout. Personal Trainers are available for those who prefer a fitness coach who will meet with them daily, weekly, or monthly to help achieve their goals. Participants 12-14 years of age must complete a Fitness Center Orientation and have adult supervision while in the fitness facility.
Kids Boot Camp (K-5)
Less intense than the adult version, with an emphasis on challenging and non-competitive activities. Speed and agility relays, balance, core strength and mat exercises provide non-stop action for the adventurous spirit in every kid.

Yoga Personal Training
Deepen your understanding of certain poses or sequence of poses (asanas) while learning basic yoga breathing techniques. Yoga Personal Training is ideal for the beginner.
This program is available on an ongoing basis at the Fort Mill and Gold Hill Branches.
Group Training
Personal training, in a small group setting, with a nationally certified trainer. Our goal is to evaluate, motivate, and educate anyone who desires the extra edge personal training offers.
Cost *:
2x/week – $120/month
3x/week – $150/month
* Groups must have at least 5 members. Rates will adjust for any groups less than 5 participants. This program is available on an ongoing basis with registration beginning the 1st day of each month.

SurYvor School
Ages: 12 and up
A monthly program designed for fitness enthusiast who are ready to take it to the next level! Equipment used consists of dumbells, tubing, tire drills and a climbing wall; an intense class with a boot camp format.

S.K.I.P. Program
(Skills for Kids and Interactive Play)
This 8 week program will cover fundamental motor pattern activities designed to enhance sports skills, core strength, balance and flexibility. Class size is limited.
Wee Fit/Kids Boot Camp
Wee Fit is a fitness class for preschool children that utilizes their gross motor skills and burns off some energy! Kids Boot Camp is a fun, energetic workout for kids grades K-5. Schedules for these classes can be found in the Monthly Group Exercise Brochure. These classes are included in your family membership and you can sign up for them in childwatch.
