Challenger’s British Soccer Camp

Challenger’s British Soccer Camp

The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs.

Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website.

“Video Game Challenge” Camp

Don’t just play games! Make them! Create your very own video game in this fun and stimulating camp for mini gamers. Design your very own Arcade or Platform game by exploring the principles of game design. Campers will be introduced to the principles of concept and storytelling through hands on project development and engineering. Campers will have the opportunity to design characters, objects, shapes, structures, and concepts all based on creativity. At the conclusion, campers will challenge each other with their own completed video game! All campers will receive a Video Challenge T-Shirt.

Science & Engineering Fusion Camp

Campers will learn the principles of engineering with fusing the practicality and functionality of science. Campers will transform into Design and Mechanical Engineers while making cool projects and experimenting with science. Campers will make replica miniature robots and various structures while using their imagination to create fun and wacky projects. All campers will receive an Engineering and Science Fusion T-Shirt.

Ages: 1st  – 3rd graders

Science Lab for Girls – Mini Chemist Camp

Campers will learn the principles of science fused with the practicality and functionality of technology. Campers will transform into Green Chemist while making cool and awesome projects to save mother earth. Campers will explore the world behind being a Cool Chemist, mixing ingredients, testing hypothesis and exploring theories to make sure our environment is safe from harsh toxins and chemicals. Discover the secrets to becoming a successful cosmetic designer by creating (Green) toxic free products. All campers will receive a Cool Green Chemist T-Shirt and take home product.

Performing Arts Camp – “It Must Be A Fairy Tale!”

 

“It must be a Fairy Tale” – Spend a week dancing, singing and acting through your favorite fairy tales…with a twist!  Campers will learn skills for stage that will carry on into other areas of life!  The camp will end with a final production on Friday night when students will perform a musical production.

Bricks 4 Kidz: Stop Motion Animation/Movie Making

Light, cameras, LEGO® action! Use LEGO bricks to tell your story, complete with music, special effects and LEGO mini-figure characters! In this unique and creative camp, builders will plan, script, stage, shoot, and produce their own mini-movie using Stop Motion Animation. Working as a team, students will use LEGO components to build the set and props, then shoot their movie using a camera. Teams will use movie-making software to add special effects, titles, credits and more. Camp Video, T-shirt and prizes included.

Bricks, Camera….Comic! New for 2014!  Explore and learn the art form of comic book design as you create your own comic book characters and develop story lines filled with pictures of actual sets you design and build with LEGO bricks!  After creating scenes, you will take pictures, upload them to a software program and make your own one-of-a-kind comic book.   Along with honing your story telling skills we’re going to take your imagination to the next level.  By the end of our camp, you’re going to get to keep a digital comic book that you’ve created!  Video, T-shirt and prizes included.

Turn a LEGO creation into a robot, animal, or machine and program it to do exactly what you tell it to do.  The Bricks 4 Kidz Junior Robotics camp offers all the fun of building with LEGO bricks, gears, motors and more – PLUS the challenge and fun of computer programming – equipping your child to succeed in a technology-based marketplace. We’ll mix in some friendly ‘coopetitions’ (working together to compete) to keep them energized and moving.  This ‘techy’ and action-packed week combines real-life skills with real-kid fun!
