Youth Soccer

Youth Soccer

Soccer program based on teaching the fundamental of soccer (dribbling, kicking and passing), sportsmanship, and team work in a fun environment. The YMCA will provide jersey, shorts and socks. Parents will be responsible for providing cleats, shin guards, and mouthpieces (optional). U9 players will have evaluations on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at 5:30 pm.

The Baxter YMCA will be partnering with the Town of Fort Mill for the U9 soccer league this season. Teams will be splitting this age group into single gender teams this fall. 

Practices will begin August 24 for U5 | August 19 for U7 and U9
Coaches meeting August 12, 2019 at 6:00 pm

Ages: U5: 3-4 | U7: 5-6 | U9: 7-8

Diabetes Prevention Program

The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is a one-year, community-based program where participants work in small groups with a trained Lifestyle Coach in a relaxed, classroom setting. In 16 weekly sessions followed by 8 monthly sessions, participants learn how to incorporate healthier eating, moderate physical activity, and problem-solving and coping skills into their daily lives. Participants will get the hands-on support they need from Lifestyle Coaches trained on a CDC-approved curriculum that is part of the CDC-led National Diabetes Prevention Program.

Program Details:
