At the Upper Palmetto YMCA, we offer two convenient membership options. The Association Membership rate is for the Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Gold Hill, Carolina Crossing, Lake Wylie and Aquatic Center branches and as a bonus includes the use of all ten Upper Palmetto YMCA branches. The Localized Membership is for members interested in using the Chester, Clover and York YMCA Branches only (Carolina Crossing & Lake Wylie not included). Financial assistance for Y membership and Y Childcare is available through our Financial Assistance Program. » The Adult + Dependents categories are designed to accommodate all those who wish to add additional adults or dependents to their membership.

» To qualify for the Adult + Dependents categories, members must reside at the same address and pay monthly dues from one bank account. To learn more about the Adult + Dependents category, please inquire at your local branch.

» For Senior Memberships, the age of the individual completing the first page of the application is responsible for the payment and determines the membership category.

» Y Members 19 years and older have unlimited use of YMCA facilities.
» Y Members 15 to 18 years can use all YMCA facilities except the adult locker rooms.
» Y Members 10 to 14 years may use the YMCA Fitness facility cardio machines if accompanied by an adult.
» Y Members 12 to 14 years may also use the YMCA weight machines after receiving a Y Staff orientation.
» Y Members younger than 11 must have adult supervision when using YMCA facilities.

All Upper Palmetto YMCA locations will be closed: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday. Limited hours on Independence Day and Labor Day. Check with your local branch for details.

Upper Palmetto YMCA members wanting to use the YMCAs in the Charlotte and surrounding areas may do so by upgrading to the Central Carolinas Regional Membership. Contact member services at any Y Branch in York or Chester counties to add use of the Charlotte and surrounding area YMCA branches.

The Upper Palmetto YMCA is a part of the YMCA of the USA AWAY Program which allows Y members to use Y facilities in other communities. The Upper Palmetto YMCA allows members of other YMCAs to use our association three times per month for free. If the member would like to visit more than three times, the fee will be $5 per visit. Valid Y membership card and ID is required when visiting our YMCA.

The YMCA Starter Membership Program offers 30-day pass to unemployed residents of York and Chester counties. All participants must provide proof of unemployment, such as severance or separation documentation and complete financial assistance paperwork. Please allow two weeks for the Financial Assistance approval process. After the 30-day starter membership, applicants may choose to become members.
