The Upper Palmetto YMCA is proud of the men and women who serve our country and we would like to honor you. If you’re currently enlisted in any of our armed services, join today for a discount on membership and no joining fee. To enroll, simply stop by your closest Upper Palmetto YMCA location and present your military I.D.
Military Outreach Initiative
The Armed Services YMCA, the Department of Defense and the YMCA are partners in addressing the needs of families of eligible military personnel by providing FREE memberships to eligible military families. Eligible personnel are Active Duty Title 10, Active Duty Relocating Spouse, Independent Duty Personnel and/or Families of deployed Guard/Reserve personnel.
Through this initiative, the Upper Palmetto YMCA is offering 18-month memberships for adults or families in 6-month intervals (not to exceed $70/month). Also available are 50% off children’s programs (excluding summer camp) and sponsored events for individuals and families. A copy of deployment orders and military ID are both required to register. How do I sign up?
- Contact Military OneSource at www.militaryonesource.com or 800-342-9647 to confirm your eligibility and receive an eligibility form.
- Fill out and bring your eligibility form, Military ID and any other required documentation (usually, your Deployment Orders or Military Service Headquarters approval letter) to a Y location near you for verification. Please do not leave copies of these documents at the YMCA.
